To address issues related to hard water and enhance the longevity and performance of plumbing fixtures, equipment, and water-using appliances, Pallavi Green Project (OPC) Private Limited is incorporating a Water Softener System. This system is designed to treat hard water by removing calcium and magnesium ions through an ion exchange process, ensuring a consistent supply of soft water for domestic, commercial, or process use.
Soft water reduces scaling, enhances detergent efficiency, and increases the lifespan of water heaters, boilers, chillers, and other infrastructure.
1. Design and Engineering
Capacity Assessment: Based on water consumption pattern and hardness levels (e.g., 1000 LPH to 10,000+ LPH)
Water Analysis: Testing for hardness (CaCO₃), iron, TDS, and other minerals
System Sizing: Based on peak demand and resin regeneration frequency
2. System Components
FRP/MS Vessel: Corrosion-resistant pressure vessel for housing softening resin
Ion Exchange Resin: High-capacity cation exchange resin for effective hardness removal
Multiport Valve: Manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic for service, backwash, and regeneration
Brine Tank: For storing salt solution (NaCl) used in the resin regeneration process
Piping & Accessories: PVC or GI piping, NRVs, pressure gauges, sample valves
3. Installation and Commissioning
Skid mounting or site assembly depending on system size
Salt dosing and calibration of regeneration cycle
Performance testing to ensure treated water hardness <5 ppm
Manual System: Operator-controlled backwash and regeneration
Semi-Automatic System: Timed regeneration with manual valve operation
Fully Automatic System: Time or flow-based regeneration with programmable controller
Domestic water supply (bathrooms, kitchens)
HVAC make-up water (cooling towers, boilers)
RO pre-treatment to protect membranes
Industrial process water (dyeing, food processing, pharma)
Laundry and hospitality sectors
Regular salt refilling in the brine tank
Periodic resin cleaning or replacement (resin life: 3–5 years)
Optional Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) available
